✂️πŸ‘šHow to make spring Blazer with twist sleeves πŸ‘š✂️

Asalam u alaiqum (peace be upon you) Beautiful people
How you are doing! Today I am sharing in a very simple way to make blazer with the same dress chart that I posted in my previous post. I also come up with an idea of twist sleeve. If you have not read dress chart post yet then you must click - How to find your perfect fit. (If you do not like to read then skip this to watch a video down below)
I had this velvet fabric with gorgeous spring flowers pattern on it. I decided to make a blazer out of it for my princess niece Minahil (:
I fold fabric in half and put my dress chart on top of the fabric (folding the fabric in half makes it easier to cut two of the same piece at once)
To get the measurement marks unto fabric I pushed my pen thru sheet and marked unto fabric then I join the marks with the help of ruler (I marked neckline, shoulder seam, chest, waist and hips)This is the back piece of blazer...This is the front piece of blazer. I cut the fabric in middle and given a round shape at the bottom...From left over fabric I made three long stripes to secure the front and bottom seam (stripe width - 1.5-inches)...First, I sew shoulder seam leaving the space of neckline in between. Then I sew the front and back piece together (over bust to waist, to above hips)...I sew blazer front and bottom seam with the stripes I made...I also cut front neckline in V shape...This is how stripes look unstitch...I iron the stripes by folding towards inside so it will be easier for hand-stitching (I thought it would give neater look then sewing with machine)...Here I measure neckline and made a collar pattern on sheet...Then cut out on fabric...I sew corners on collar and left unstitch from middle (the part which needs to be attach with blazer)...Turning collar inside out (I did not wanted stiff collar but if you like add in fabric before sewing)...Attaching collar with blazer (stitched with machine)Here is the final look from inside of blazer after hand-stitching the stripes of blazer front and bottom seam...Time to make sleeves...Using my sleeve chart...I make sure, the pattern of flowers were even on both sides...I wanted to give a bit different look then common wrist style. I cut the stripes about 4-inches wide and longer then sleeve wrist length and made twisted sleeve. Then I sew them with the blazer...Here is my twist sleeve look (explaining in words was hard so I made a separate video on my channel, will be up soon)
Here is the final look of spring blazer from inside (to give cleaner look I could have attach lining but I did not think it was necessary)... Spring blazer with twist sleeves I make sure one side covers with flowers and one side gives empty look on front side of blazer and collar. I like the way it turned out. Thank you for reading and always coming back. Have a great evening beautiful's x!

  3. The blazer looks ah-may-zing! You are a GENIUS! I love thr print and I am sure Minahil would love wearing it. It's also so stylish. Reminds me of my aunt who also used to stitch some lovely dresses for me when I was small. Now the tailor master does the job. Hehe :-)
