My sweet Quarantine when Coronavirus hits the World

Spring has arrived even though I feel like undescribable...

Asalam u alaiQum (peace be upon you beautiful people) ♡
How are you all doing? As you know that Britain is now in lockdown due to Covid-19, and all non-essential businesses closed. What is Covid-19? It is caused by a member of the Coronavirus family that has never been encountered before. Like other Coronaviruses, it has transferred to humans from animals. The World Health Organisation has declared it a pandemic. The lockdown is at least three weeks. I'm not upset about it. I've been social distancing my whole life (putting hand emoji on my face) however I can understand for some people it is hard. You never know what someone is going through, what struggle what battle they are fighting alone. I always remember what others are going through, I remind myself of the tests our Prophets went through. Bear in mind every single person is being tested in different ways.

When we are tested we are faced with two options. To be patient or not to be. So when we lack patience and get frustrated or bitter we lose hope which is actually a choice we make. But those who choose to be patient, as difficult as it is, benefit from their tests in this life and also gain in the next life that is Jannah (Paradise) Please read/listen to the Qur’an because dhikr gives contentment. Make dua'a for ALLAAHﷻ to help, strength, and relief from the test.
Here are the few things that I really want you to focus on too:
Tawakkul
Anas ibn Malik reported: A man said, “O Messenger of Allah, should I tie my camel and trust in Allah, or should I leave her untied and trust in Allah?” The Messenger of Allaah peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Tie her and trust in Allah.”
Sunan al-Tirmidhī 2517

Practicing Tawakkul meaning Trusting in Gods plan. It is something we do inside ourselves and we earn the pleasure of ALLAAHﷻ for doing it. It is very important to learn how to do this internal act of worship properly. Here is a small example: She starts the business, doesn’t stress about it, works hard, and trusts ALLAAHﷻ to grant her what is best for her.

Pray bold Prayers
Its aim is to generate within the subliminal self of man such spiritual power, light of faith and awareness of God as can enable him to strive successfully against all kinds of evils and temptations and remain steadfast at times of trial and adversity and protect himself against the weakness of the flesh and the mischief of immoderate appetites. [Nadwi, p. 24]

You must believe that ALLAAHﷻ will answer your duaas in one way or another. Trusting ALLAAHﷻ to take care of the end result in the way that is best for you. There is nothing more you can do here than to leave it to God and trust ALLAAHﷻ. This will bring about hope and inner peace (worrying about the result) brings about fear and anxiety. Pray bold prayers because I've read that the greatest tragedy in life is the prayers that go unanswered because they go unasked.

Exercise
Social distancing doesn’t mean you need to lock yourself away. Fresh air and exercise are still important. In terms of health benefits, the amount of recommended exercise depends upon the goal, the type of exercise, and the age of the person. I've managed to keep my cardio three times a week. Even doing a small amount of exercise is healthier than doing none. I am so grateful that we have a treadmill exercise machine at home but if you don't have any then I suggest taking a walk around your garden. When I used to live with my parents in Pakistan, my sister-in-law and myself would walk around the neighbourhood streets and sometimes on our roof. Remember, "Chalo chath par chaltay hain." Ha-ha-ha You must be wondering what does this mean and how can you walk on the roof? Well for some of you who don't speak an Urdu language it simply means, "let's go on the roof." The houses in Pakistan are structured differently than in Britain. Over here we have a garden outside but in Pakistan it's up on the roof.

Fresh Air
Houseplants can do more than just make your shelves look brighter. I am a crazy plant lady. They can boost your mood, enhance your creativity, reduce your stress levels, increase your productivity, bring you tranquility, maintain indoor humidity levels, produce oxygen, and naturally filter air pollutants. Now think, why it is important for your health to have plants in your home.

Vitamins
Please try to cook your meals with fresh garlic and ginger. Use kalvanji (black seeds oil) a lot in your meals or water. Black Seed helps the body to fight infections, balance the immune system and minimise allergic reactions. Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ)said:
“Use this black seed. For indeed it contains a cure for every disease except As-Sam” And As-Sam is death. Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2041

Drink lots of warm water also add some lemon/apple cider vinegar. Make detox water (I share these tips on my Instagram stories @annieomar Do warm salty water gargling. Vitamins and minerals such as iron, calcium and vitamin C, are essential nutrients that your body needs in small amounts to work properly. Most people do not need to take vitamin supplements and can get all they need by eating a healthy balanced diet. However during this lockdown period have some vitamin supplements. And most importantly get your sleep to develop a strong immune system.

Following Sunnah
literally means the path or the way. ALLAAHﷻ tells us that following the Qur'an is to follow the example of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). ALLAAHﷻ says: “He who obeys the Messenger has indeed obeyed Allah .”
[al-Nisaa’ 4:80]

There are many virtues and rewards of acting in accordance with the Sunnah. The issues of the Sunnah and even the smallest manners of the Sunnah inform people how to act in the complicated roads of life and show them the safest and most reliable roads like a compass. Here is the list of Kutub al-Sittah.
The Six Canonical Books of Hadith.
  • Sahih al-Bukhari.
  • Sahih Muslim.
  • Sunan Abu Dawud.
  • Sunan al-Tirmidhi.
  • Sunan al-Nasa'i.
  • Sunan Ibn Majah.
At the end I cannot say this enough please do more of what makes your soul happy. If you like to cook then cook a meal. If you like to dress up then get ready. If you like to do nothing then give yourself a break. Just make sure that you stay strong and faithful. Please do look after yourself first so you can also do it for others and stay safe ♡
